About Site 1
Located under the large pōhutukawa tree on the southern end of the main beach.
Access is from the Sculpture car park - the site is 350 metres from the car park. Phone 09 261 8001 to arrange permission for vehicle access - there is an extra charge for vehicles. Vehicles cannot stay on site during the event.
Rules for this bookable picnic site
- You must occupy your booked site by 9am.
- You must leave the site by 9pm during daylight saving or 7pm outside of daylight saving.
- Camping is not allowed on bookable sites at any time.
- Sites must be booked by people aged 18 and over.
- You cannot light open fires.
- Shade tents and marquees are not allowed.
- You must not stop the public from walking through the site or using park facilities.
- Animals are not allowed on site, unless they are disability assist dogs.
- You must take rubbish and recycling home.
