Changes to where you can walk your dog in regional and local parks took effect on 1 August 2025.
Changes to the number of dogs you can walk at the same time will take effect on 1 January 2026. The changes allow you to walk:
- up to four dogs at the same time, or
- up to 12 dogs with approval from the council.
