If you want to graze your livestock on public land, you need permission from either:
- our Parks Team (if in a public park)
- Auckland Transport road reserve The road, or road reserve, is the area from the private property boundary on one side of the road to the property boundary on the other side of the road. This includes the berm (grass verge), footpath, cycleway and carriageway. Does not include privately owned roads and paths, or areas in parks and road-to-park walkways..
We will consider:
- the location of the animals
- whether the fencing is appropriate
- whether the animals may cause a nuisance to the public.
