Meet the farm animals and explore the farm's produce.
Experiences
Students get the low-down on the economics of farming and discover how the 'inputs' of climate, soil and markets influence the way farms are managed.
At the wool shed they learn about shearing and crutching, and the wonders of wool, before exiting down the sheep chute. A milking demonstration gets them musing about milk, before churning some into butter.
Then, dodging cow-pats ('nature's fertiliser'), a tour of the farm brings students face to face with Timmy the turkey, the squawking chickens and Ambury's four-legged inhabitants.
