Technical and green solutions to stormwater management.
Experiences
Roofs no longer have to be hard, impervious surfaces that channel stormwater into drains. Architects are using old methods in new ways to grow plants on the roofs of city buildings to reduce the impact of stormwater runoff.
Students see 'green' roofs in action and learn about the techniques and benefits of green roof technology. Together they will construct basic green-roofed bird houses for school.
