Follow the journey of milk from cow to shop.
Experiences
Meet in the barn to learn the basics of milk production. Find out why cows have four stomachs and some milk is creamier than others. Learn what it is like to be a dairy farmer.
Students watch a cow being milked. They explore the technology used to separate cream (centrifugal force), try their hand at making butter and taste the results!
Then it's time to role-play. Students work with props to follow the journey milk takes from the farm to the shop.
A self-guided walk around the farm to meet the other animals completes the visit.
