Stormwater impacts on our streams and green solutions.
Experiences
As our cities expand, we build more and more roads, car parks, driveways and buildings. All these roofs and hard surfaces reduce the natural absorption of water by the soil and force floods of stormwater into drains. The stormwater system takes this water, polluted with waste, through our urban streams to the sea.
Find out what problems this creates and what can be done to reduce the harmful effects on the environment.
