An overnight adventure at Arataki.
Experiences
Go to sleep to the sound of ruru (morepork) and wake up to the sound of tūī!
Make the most of your visit to Arataki by combining two days of programmes with a sleepover and a guided night walk.
Day one: Take part in your chosen programmes. Rangers take you on a guided night walk to discover the silence, stars and creatures of the night, including glow worms, ruru and wētā (hopefully).
Day two: Wake up to the dawn chorus and spend the day learning bush safety skills on our 'Outdoor challenge' programme, before engaging in a reflection activity to complete the experience.
Kitchen and BBQ facilities are available for self-catering. Mattresses are provided for marae style sleeping. Bring your own sleeping bags. The ablution block has basic facilities only.
