NOTE: A Discretionary Use Permit is required. Contact arataki.schoolbookings@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.
We welcome schools to use our parks for self-guided educational activities but would ask that all schools contact the Arataki Education Centre first to notify us of your intentions.
This ensures facilities are not placed under unnecessary pressure and that you have an enjoyable and rewarding outdoor experience.
There are currently only two sites in the Waitākere Ranges that are suitable for schools to use for stream testing activities:
- Little Huia Stream
- Karamatura Stream at Huia.
