If your property is on the no-spray register you agree to the following:
- You are responsible for keeping the roadside drain and roadside shoulder or park boundary clear of growth to the same standard as council maintained sections next to your property.
- Remove any pest weeds from the roadside along your property frontage or park boundary. You may find Seek iNaturalist useful for identifying unknown plants.
- Keep all roadside furniture clear of vegetation growth e.g. signposts, marker posts, power poles, sight boards, etc.
- Make sure you do not damage any council structures, trees or furniture while you are clearing the vegetation.
- Make sure you keep yourself safe while clearing the vegetation.
- Contact us to remove your property from the register if you move away from the address.
If you fail to remove and maintain the pest weeds in accordance with the above, we will resume spraying. We will advise you in writing of our intention to resume spraying.
Auckland Council may place no-spray markers at each end of your property frontage or park boundary to ensure the no-spray area is clear for our contractors. Where the frontage is not clearly defined or is greater than 250 metres, we may place markers at regular intervals.
If you are removing your property from the no-spray register you agree to the following:
- You have the authority to request this change.
- If you have moved and would like your new property frontage or park boundary added to the no-spray register, you will need to make a new request.
Once a property has been removed from the no-spray register Council may resume weed control with agrichemicals on the road frontage or park boundary of the property.
