Housing New Zealand tenants
Housing New Zealand has a Warm and Dry programme to ensure all homes have things like thermal-backed curtains and extractor fans.

Community Services Card holders
If you have a community services card, you may be able to get free curtains from Habitat curtain bank.
DHB healthy home services
Low-income families who have children with respiratory illnesses may be eligible for support through the Noho Ᾱhuru or AWHI Healthy Homes initiatives. To find out more, see:

Warmer Kiwi Homes
Warmer Kiwi Homes is a government programme offering grants that cover 80 per cent of the cost of:
- ceiling and underfloor insulation
- a heat pump or an efficient wood burner or pellet burner.
You do not need to pay back grants provided by Warmer Kiwi Homes.
Grants for heaters are capped at $3000 inc GST.
