About the Waitematā Local Grant
A local grant is generally available once or twice a year. It is one of two types of local board grants.

$3000 - $10,000
Outcomes
Our grants programme supports the Waitematā Local Board Plan 2023 in these key areas:
- our people
- our environment
- our community
- our places
- our economy.
In 2025/2026 we will prioritise grants for initiatives that address community resilience and recovery.
Funding priorities
We welcome applications that show how you would use the grant to achieve the five key areas listed under 'Outcomes'.

Successful applicants must submit an accountability report at the end of their project or activity. This is required to show us how the grant was used.
We will not give any future funding to applicants who do not complete this report.
