Auckland Council notifies its intention to recommend the Minister of Conservation reclassify the reserve parcels described in the Schedule below pursuant to Section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977 (RA).
These reclassifications relate to individual land parcels or part thereof, which in many cases make up only a portion of a wider park area. For further information on each of the proposals including GIS images of each parcel refer to Public Notices section on the Auckland Council website (www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/have-your-say/public-notices). Please refer to ‘Orakei Parks Reclassifications’.
Any person wishing to object to any of the proposals may do so in writing and addressed to Auckland Council, Private Bag, 93200, Auckland 1142, Attention: Steve Owens or email to orakeiparks@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz, no later than 5.00pm on 16 September 2025. Any objector's information provided to the Council will become subject to the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and may be released by the Council under that Act.
