When smoke and pollutants become offensive, objectionable or a nuisance to you, we can investigate.
Call our pollution hotline on 09 377 3107 seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
We will need to know:
- the location of the fire
- what kind of material is being burnt.
What action we will take
Our first action will be to investigate your smoke complaint and consider.
- If the fire is allowed.
- If people are burning illegal material.
- If excessive smoke is entering your property from a neighbour's fire.
Once we identify if there is a problem, we will follow up with the responsible party.
