Onetangi Beach Strand
Also known as Onetangi Beach

The Strand, Onetangi

About Onetangi Beach Strand

Waiheke's longest beach - 2km of golden sand and safe swimming, with café bars on the waterfront.

Access from The Strand. Pedestrians can also access via many steps, ramps and beach ladders along The Strand, through bush tracks to Garratt Road and Pah Road.

There are access points for boat launching at either end of the beach (via Le Roy Road and First Avenue). You must use the accessways provided to avoid damaging the coastal planting and fragile coastal dunes.

Toilets and changing rooms, parking, picnic tables and seating, and barbecues are inside the park.

Follow the 3km Onetangi Beach Path along the waterfront, or the 2.8km Onetangi Hidden Gems Path to see more of the area.

To check for live information on water quality and safe swimming conditions at this beach, see the Safeswim website.
