About Red Beach Park

Large park with lots of open space for recreational activities and established trees providing shade and shelter. A good network of paths circle the sports fields, and connect the entrances with the playground and toilets.

Access from William Bayes and Esther places, and Marellen Drive. You will need to park on the road. The nearest buses are on Bay Street and Marellen Drive.

Sports fields, a playground, flying fox, toilets, picnic table, seating and a drinking fountain are inside the park.

The 600m loop Red Beach Beginner's Path is perfect for children learning to ride bikes and scooters.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
