Large tree-lined reserve with plenty of opportunity for recreational activities, and a good network of paths around the sports fields.
In 1947, the Melanesian Mission Trust Board subdivided part of their land and arranged with the former Auckland City Council to set aside 26 acres for recreational purposes. Part of this land was leased to dairy farmer W.H. Madill.
Access the car park from Baddeley Avenue and Melanesia Road. There are security gates at the Baddeley Avenue entrance. Pedestrians can also access from Allum Street.
A playground, toilets, car park, picnic tables and seating, and drinking fountains are inside the park. The changing rooms are for the Eastern Suburbs Association Football Club.
Follow the Madills Path around the sports fields.
