About Shore Road Reserve

Busy, popular sports park with lots of recreational opportunities. It has good gravel paths around the edge of the park and waterfront.

Access from two entrances on Shore Road. Pedestrians can also access via the bridge from Thomas Bloodsworth Park.

A playground, toilets, seating, parking and sports fields are inside the park.

Follow the Newmarket to Thomas Bloodworth Path for a scenic 2.5 km walk.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

How to access Shore Road Reserve

  • Car parks  ‑ Access the three large car parks from Shore Road. Open 7am to 9pm daily.
