Macleans Park
67R The Esplanade, Mellons Bay

About Macleans Park

Large open space with scenic views of Eastern Beach, the Hauraki Gulf, and Rangitoto and Waiheke islands.

Restoration planting has provided a roosting and foraging habitat for several native birds. While you're walking through the bush keep an eye open for kingfisher (kotare), fantail (pīwakawaka), silvereye (tauhou), tūī and grey warbler (riroriro).

Access from Macleans, Oliver and Bleakhouse roads, Charles Dickens Drive, Eastern Beach Caravan Park, Luke Place, Oakwood Grove, Oliver Twist and Rogers avenues, and Quedley Court.

Picnic tables and seating, fitness equipment, flying fox, swings and sports fields are inside the park. You will need to park on the street.

Follow Macleans Path through regenerative bush and wetland areas.
