About Omana Esplanade

Pretty coastal reserve looking out over the Hauraki Gulf Islands and next to Ōmana Regional Park. Take a stroll along the great paths around the coast, or pack a picnic and enjoy a day at the beach!

Access the parking area from the end of Ōmana Esplanade. Pedestrians can also access the park from walkways between numbers 6 and 8 Craig Road, and 26 and 28 Campbell Road.

Toilets and changing rooms, parking, a playground, petanque court, picnic tables and seating, and a boat ramp are inside the park.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

How to access Omana Esplanade

  • Car park  ‑ Access the parking areas from the end of Omana Esplanade and Omana Beach Road. Gates open 7am to 9pm in summer and 7am to 7pm in winter.

What to see and do at Omana Esplanade

  • Picnic tables  ‑ By the playground.
  • Boat ramp  ‑ Timber boat ramp near the main gateway off Omana Esplanade. See Google Maps.
