Reserve and beach access closed from Tuesday 13 August to Friday 13 September 2024
We are closing Lynfield Cove Reserve and access to the beach to clear trees and debris blocking Wairaki Stream. A helicopter will remove the rubbish. The trees and logs will be turned into wood chip.
About Lynfield Cove Reserve
A local green reserve with coastal access.
Access the reserve from Strathnaver and Niagara crescents and Halsey Drive.
A car park and toilets are at the northern end of the reserve at Wairaki Stream Reserve.
Follow the Lynfield Cove Path from Gilletta Road, through bush to the southern end of Lynfield Cove Reserve.
You need to know
Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol
Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.
Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
