Medlands Beach
Sandhills Road, Great Barrier Island

About Medlands Beach

Medlands Beach is in Oruawharo Bay on the east coast of Great Barrier Island.

The beach is the most accessible on the island, and is a popular tourist area. The beach does not have lifeguards - the safest swimming areas are at either end of the beach.

You can easily find the access points down the dunes to the beach as these are often marked by large trees like the Norfolk Pine.
