About Ōrewa Reserve

This stretch of reserve sits between the Ōrewa Surf Lifesaving Club to the north and the Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park to the south. It provides easy access to the popular Ōrewa Beach.

 

Access from the large car park off Hibiscus Coast Highway. Pedestrians can also access the reserve from the beach and along the 6km Ōrewa Beachfront Path.

 

A car park, playground, fitness equipment, barbecue, picnic tables and seating are inside the reserve. The nearest toilets are by the car park at the surf lifesaving club.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

What to see and do at Ōrewa Reserve

  • Fitness equipment  ‑ Fitness equipment is inside the park.
  • BBQ  ‑ Electric BBQ adjacent to the basketball court.
  • Outdoor shower  ‑ Showers are by the toilets in the carpark and outside the northern toilets.
  • Boat ramp  ‑ Concrete boat ramps with access for cars are in the camp ground.
