Manu-kau Noa IhoHayman Park
15R Davies Avenue, Manukau

About Hayman Park

Large tree-lined suburban park near the Manukau town centre, and adjacent to the Manukau bus and train stations.

The park has sealed accessible paths around the perimeter and past the pond in the middle of the park - you will need to keep an eye on small children when you're near the pond! Find a spot under the trees for a picnic or relax with a book.

Access from Davies and Ronwood avenues, and Lambie Drive. You will need to park on the street.

A large playground, natural play space, toilets, pond, skate park, basketball court, picnic tables and seating, bike stands, and drinking fountains are inside the park.

Follow the 1.3km Hayman Park Path around the outside of the park.

Park partly closed from 8 April to December 2025

A large area of the park will be closed while we:

  • regenerate the Puhinui Stream and create habitats for birds, fish, lizards, and insects
  • improve water quality before it flows into Te Puhinui and the Manukau Harbour
  • add native planting, wider pathways, boardwalks and viewing platforms for better access.

The playground and skate park will stay open during this time.

Download a map of the closed area: Manu-kau Noa Iho / Hayman Park: Regenerating green spaces for the future of Manukau (PDF 1.7MB). Signs and maps around the park will also show you which areas you can still access.

Read about why the work is needed on the Auckland Urban Development Office website.
