About Te Puru Park

This picturesque park is located right by the sea with wide sprawling walkways that lead to Ōmana Regional Park.

There is a wooden playground by a large car park and a skate ramp towards the northern end of the park. Toilets and plenty of seating is available throughout the park.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

How to access Te Puru Park

  • Car park  ‑ Access from Whitford Maraetai Road. Gate open 7am to 9pm in summer and 7am to 7pm in winter.

    Our skate parks are not supervised.

    Follow these rules to keep yourself and others safe:

    • Wear a well-fitting helmet and other protective gear.
    • Skate to your ability – don't try new tricks until you're confident.
    • Don't sit in or walk through the skating area.
    • Skate parks are for everyone – take turns, be courteous and have fun!
