About Mairangi Bay Beach Reserve

This lovely beach and reserve has amazing views of Rangitoto, Rakino and Tiritiri Matangi islands. It stretches from Whitby Crescent in the south to Murrays Bay Beach Reserve in the north.

You can access the reserve from Whitby Crescent, Sidmouth Street, and Bournemouth, Montrose and Brighton terraces.

There is a barbecue at the southern end by the Mairangi Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, seating and picnic tables, a boat ramp, and swings inside the reserve.

Follow the 5km Campbells to Murrays Bay Path along the coast and enjoy the views.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

  • Barbecue  ‑ Electric barbecue by the surf club at the southern end of the reserve.
