About Ngataringa Park

Large open space on the edge of Ngataringa Bay.

Access the park from Lake Road.

The 'Scotty Brewer' skatebowl, drinking fountain and community garden are inside the park.

Walking tracks around the park provide views of the Shoal Bay area with bird wildlife and native species.

The adjoining Dacre Park has more open space and several sports fields.

The Devonport to Takapuna Path passes through the park.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

    Our skate parks are not supervised.

    Follow these rules to keep yourself and others safe:

    • Wear a well-fitting helmet and other protective gear.
    • Skate to your ability – don't try new tricks until you're confident.
    • Don't sit in or walk through the skating area.
    • Skate parks are for everyone – take turns, be courteous and have fun!
