About Browns Bay Beach Reserve

Enjoy the scenic views of Browns Bay Beach and Rangitoto Island as you play at the playground or enjoy lunch at one of the picnic tables provided.

Access from Beachfront Lane and Anzac Road.

Playground, toilets, seating and picnic tables, car park (including mobility parks), skate park and barbecues are inside the park.

Follow the Rothesay to Browns Bay Path to discover two of North Shore's great beaches.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

    Skate park safety rules

    Our skate parks are not supervised.

    Follow these rules to keep yourself and others safe:

    • Wear a well-fitting helmet and other protective gear.
    • Skate to your ability – don't try new tricks until you're confident.
    • Don't sit in or walk through the skating area.
    • Skate parks are for everyone – take turns, be courteous and have fun!

  • Boat ramp  ‑ Manly Esplanade boat and dinghy ramps. See Google Maps.
  • Outdoor shower  ‑ The shower is at the end of southern toilets.
  • Drinking fountain  ‑ Drinking fountain is near the playground by the beach.
  • BBQ  ‑ Electric and gas BBQ
