About Arundel Reserve

This is a local reserve behind houses and adjoining the beach. The Ōrewa Sea Scouts Hall is located left of the reserve entrance and there is a walkway through to Marine Parade.

Access the car park from Hibiscus Coast Highway. Pedestrians can also use the accessway from the end of Puriri Avenue.

There are toilets and an outdoor shower, a car park, park benches and picnic tables inside the reserve and along the walkway overlooking the beach.

There is a bus stop near the entrance to the reserve.

Follow the 8km Ōrewa Beachfront Path from the reserve to the Ōrewa River Estuary.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
