258 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Ōrewa
Extending along Ōrewa Beach from the mouth of the Ōrewa River, this recreation area has walkways, playgrounds and sport surfaces. The Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park area is at the southern end.
Access from the Hibiscus Coast Highway or from the beach.
Playgrounds, toilets, picnic tables and seating, basketball and volleyball courts, car park (including mobility) and barbecues are inside the reserve.
Follow the 6km Ōrewa Beachfront Path from the southern end of the reserve to Arundel Reserve. If you want a longer walk, follow the 7.6km Ōrewa Estuary Path that loops around the estuary.

Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol
Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.
Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
