About Stanmore Bay Park

Stanmore Bay Park is a large park with sports fields, playgrounds and a skatepark. The park extends to the Stanmore Bay Beach.

Access from Brightside Road.

A playground, toilets, petanque and volleyball courts, picnic tables and seating, and car park are inside the park.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

    Skate park safety rules

    Our skate parks are not supervised.

    Follow these rules to keep yourself and others safe:

    • Wear a well-fitting helmet and other protective gear.
    • Skate to your ability – don't try new tricks until you're confident.
    • Don't sit in or walk through the skating area.
    • Skate parks are for everyone – take turns, be courteous and have fun!
  • Drinking fountain  ‑ Between the car park and the sports field.
  • Boat ramp  ‑ There is a boat ramp by the boat club and a concrete one-lane dinghy ramp with limited parking at the end of Langton Road.
  • Outdoor shower  ‑ Shower is on the northern side of the toilets.
