About Ken Maunder Park

A large sports park with a paved pathway around the park so you can enjoy views of the estuary. The bridge connects the park with Queen Mary Avenue.

Sport fields and cricket greens occupy the middle of the park. Cricket nets are next to the main car park.

Access from Binsted Road. The car park gates are open from 7am to 9pm daily. Pedestrians can also access via the bridge from Queen Mary Avenue, and from Rata Street, or from Curnard Street via the path under the Rata Street overbridge.

A car park, toilets and changing rooms, picnic tables and seating, cricket pitches and nets, and drinking fountains are inside the park.

Follow the 1km Ken Maunder Path circuit around the park.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
