Located on the sheltered western side of Te Atatu Peninsula, Taipari Strand has a range of activities for all ages.
The gentle network of walkways through the park provides for the avid stroller, jogger or dog walker.
The vast grass areas have great picnic spots and are large enough for a game of sport or a large family gathering.
Taipari Strand also has a boat ramp which allows you to safely launch into Henderson Creek for a range of water sports including water skiing, rowing, kayaking or sailing.
Access the car parks and boat ramp from Taikata Road. Pedestrians can also access from Noall Street, Matipo Road, Taioma Crescent and Taipari Strand.
Accessible toilets, a playground, car park, basketball court, picnic tables and seating are inside the park. Gates are open 7am-9pm in summer, and 7am-7pm in winter.
Follow the Taipari Path around Taipari Strand and along the water's edge adjacent to the mudflats.
