This park sits at the centre of Henderson's recreational area.
Originally part of Thomas Henderson's farm it was bought in 1900 by Ben Cranwell and developed into an orchard. Today you can picnic and play under historic pear trees at the point where the Oratia and Opanuku streams meet and converge to form Henderson Creek.
Enjoy a stroll around the perimeter of the park or try the Henderson Creek walkway. Music fans can pay tribute to Elvis at the memorial in the park. You can also cross the bridges to visit Tui Glen Reserve to the north-east, Cranwell Esplanade to the west, or south to Falls Park.
Access the large car park from Alderman Drive. Time restrictions apply for the car parks so you will need to check these before you leave your car. Pedestrians can also access the park from Millstream Drive, Falls Park or through Tui Glen Reserve..
Picnic tables and seating, and a car park (with mobility parks) are inside the park.
Follow the Henderson Creek Path that links the Northwestern Cycleway and Henderson town centre.
Concrete paths provide access along the front of West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre, past the bowling club and to the Oratia Stream.

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
