About Te Atatū Peninsula Park

This large sports park caters for a wide range of recreational activity. It has some additional open space, and some trees around the perimeter providing shade and shelter.

Access the car parks from Neil Avenue and Matipo Road. Pedestrians can also access from two entrances in Taikata Road and the end of Rixon Place. The nearest bus stops are outside 57 Matipo Road and 108 Taikata Road.

Sports fields, cricket wickets and nets, a playground, toilets, car parks and fitness equipment are inside the park.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

  • Car park  ‑ Access from Neil Avenue. Gates open 7am to 9pm daily.

  • Picnic tables  ‑ Between the car park and playground.
