About Moire Park

Moire Park - Full basketball court.

Moire Park has something for everyone.

Approximately half of the reserve is covered in dense bush. You can walk or jog through the network of tracks and you will forget that this reserve lies in an urban environment.

The other half of the reserve is covered in sports fields and is busy with rugby in winter, athletics and touch in summer, and sports tournaments and cultural festivals throughout the year. The nearby playground and half court will keep all ages entertained. Find out how to book our sports facilities.

Access the car park from Granville Drive. Pedestrians can also access from Allington, Moire and Royal roads and West Harbour Drive.

Playground, grass pump track, accessible toilets, picnic tables and seating, car park (including mobility), barbecues and sports fields are inside the park. Changing rooms are available through sports field bookings only.

Follow the Moire Park Path to take in the scenic view of the park and local reserves in West Harbour.

Pump track rules

Helmets are compulsory whilst riding this track.
Ride within your limits.
Do not ride when muddy, it will ruin the track.
Be courteous of others.
No walking on the track.
Push bikes only - no motorised vehicles.
Always ride in an anti-clockwise direction

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

Playgrounds at Moire Park

Moire Park - Short poles and planks for walking and balancing on.

This is a large, colourful playground with something to keep all ages occupied. It was designed in partnership with Te Kawerau a Maki to encourage exploration and discovery.

The 'discovery playground' (Papa Rēhia o Tūhura) includes a nature play area and sandpit. Spend time in the sandpit to discover the tio (oysters) or tuna hidden near the end of the tunnel.

The large timber play module has an accessible ramp and wide slide creating inclusive play opportunities for all tamariki.

The playground also has a basket swing, sound tubes, inground trampolines, and a balance module with poles and planks.

The playground, full-sized basketball court and barbecue facilities are next to Granville Road. There is plenty of parking available on and off the road.

A shade shelter is provided next to the playground and contains two picnic tables. Trees provide some shade but not over the playground. You will need to bring a hat and sunscreen.

Rubber surfacing provides access to inground trampolines, balancing balls and basket swing.

A timber ramp provides access up into the play module reaching a wide inclusive slide and play panels.

Talking tubes are located adjacent to the main circular footpath.
