About Windsor Reserve

Large open reserve next to Devonport Beach (a popular swimming spot) and the Devonport ferry terminal.

Access from Victoria Road and Flagstaff Terrace.

A playground, toilets, drinking fountain, shower, bike racks, picnic tables and seating are inside the reserve.

Cross King Edward Parade to the Devonport Library or visit the many cafes, restaurants and boutique shops in the area.

Follow the short Devonport to Naval Base Path along the harbour edge. For a longer walk take the Devonport Waterfront Path, or cycle the Narrow Neck to Devonport Path.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

What to see and do at Windsor Reserve

  • Outdoor shower  ‑ Shower is at the south side of the park near the public toilets.
  • Drinking fountain  ‑ Drinking fountain is near the playground.
  • Picnic table  ‑ Outside the library.
