About Manuka Reserve

This large park has a great network of paths and boardwalks, and a is surrounded by bush.

There is plenty of space for a variety of recreational activities. Go for a walk through the bush, or take the steps down to the beach to take in the views of Hellyers Creek.

Access the car park from the end of Manuka Road. Pedestrians can also access from Thistledew, Hotspur and Houston places.

A car park, playground, toilets, fitness equipment (dog agility course), basketball court, picnic tables, seating, drinking fountain, and a boat ramp are inside the park.

Follow the 2.5km Manuka Reserve Path through to Lynn Reserve.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
