Waikowhai Park (kōwhai by the water) is the jewel in a network of parks on the northern banks of the Manukau Harbour.
This park is a significant ecological area. The large block of regenerating forest is home to lots of wildlife. It acts as both a linkage and a buffer between the coast and adjacent residential areas.
A good network of navigable paths link the playground, lookout and dog walking area.
