Devonport to Stanley Bay Path

For a different spin on a Devonport day trip, look no further than the relaxed seaside village of Stanley Bay.

This shared path takes you from the heart of Devonport to Stanley Bay. The off road, shared path is a great option for cyclists developing their confidence.

From Devonport village, head up Victoria Road and turn left into Calliope Road.

The path along Calliope Road offers incredible views of Auckland city and the Waitematā Harbour. Admire the historic villas, charming character homes and shop verandahs.

Once you reach Stanley Bay Wharf, head down the wharf for more fantastic views of the harbour, city and frigates at the Devonport Naval Base.

Finish at Stanley Bay Park. If you have little ones with you, they'll love running around the sports field, making daisy chains and exploring children's playground.

Return along the path, or catch the 806 bus back to Devonport.
