As a part of our goal to make Auckland smokefree by 2025, we have brought in new smokefree requirements for sports areas on council-owned land.

Smokefree signage for clubs and sports fields
We have developed a range of signage to let people know about the smokefree requirements in sports areas on council-owned land.
This includes sports fields, leisure and recreation centres, swimming pools and the areas around sports clubs.
The signs can be easily nailed or screwed to a wall, or mounted with adhesive, and are designed for outdoor use.
