Description
The Helensville Community Recycling Centre is run by Helensville Enterprises Trust (a local community trust).
The site currently diverts 78 per cent of the total volume of waste it receives away from landfill.
There are bargains to be found in the on-site second hand shop.
There is no charge for:
- household items that are saleable
- clean glass bottles
- scrap metal.
Not accepted items:
- hazardous or odorous waste
- veterinary or medical waste
- gas canisters
- cartridges
- liquid waste
- asbestos
- car bodies
- fill (clay soil).
Opening hours
- Monday to Wednesday: Closed
- Thursday to Sunday: 9am - 4pm
- Closed on New Year's Day, Day after New Year's Day, Auckland Anniversary Day, Waitangi Day, Easter Monday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, ANZAC Day, King's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.
