Description

Onehunga Community Recycling Centre is operated by Onehunga Zero Waste Ltd, a charitable registered company formed by The Synergy Projects Trust and Localised. It is the first Maori-Pasifika led Recycling Centre in Aotearoa.

Our objectives are to divert waste from landfill and to create new jobs and volunteer opportunities for the local community.

Proceeds derived from this kaupapa will be invested back into Onehunga Zero Waste Ltd and support local community projects.

Opening hours

The centre will close on Monday 22 December 2025 and reopen Wednesday 7 January 2026.

Normal opening hours:

Wednesday to Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Closed on all public Holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Day after New Year’s, Auckland Anniversary, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, King's Birthday, Matariki Day, Labour Day).
