Rubbish services
We do not collect rubbish from commercial properties.

We collect rubbish from council rubbish bins that are green with red lids, or blue with yellow lids. The bins must have pre-paid bin tags attached.

Recycling services
Recycling services for household quantities are available in Auckland except for Manukau commercial areas.
Auckland Inner CBD
- For recycling, use clear council plastic bags.
- We collect cardboard separately. Flatten the cardboard and place on the kerb next to your recycling. Make sure it is placed securely so it will not blow away.
- Recycling and cardboard are collected twice daily (once on Sundays).
Other areas
The recycling service is provided in 'co-mingled' wheelie bins (plastic, glass, cans, paper and cardboard in the same bin) and collected once every two weeks.
Inorganic collection services
We provide an inorganic collection service to small businesses once a year. This is for small businesses that pay the minimum base service waste charge in their rates.
We only collect domestic items, not commercial inorganic waste.
