About Mountfort Park
This sports park is over 50 hectares, is surrounded by established trees, and has fabulous informal recreation opportunities and facilities. It is also home to the Manurewa Pool and Leisure Centre.
Access from Weymouth and Sykes roads, and Dr Pickering Drive.
Playgrounds, toilets and changing rooms, picnic tables and seating, car park (including mobility parking), basketball and volleyball courts, sports fields, drinking fountains and swimming pool are inside the park.

You need to know
Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol
Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.
Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
How to access Mountfort Park
- Car parks ‑ Access the car parks from Weymouth and Sykes roads, Dr Pickering Avenue and Eddowes Street. Gates open 7am to 9pm in summer and 7am to 7pm in winter.
What to see and do at Mountfort Park
- Drinking fountain ‑ By the toilets.
- Picnic table ‑ Between the car parks off Dr Pickering Avenue and the sports fields.
