Mountfort Park Path

An easy walk or cycle around Mountfort Park in Manurewa, with plenty of activities the whole family can enjoy. The path is flat and suitable for all abilities, even if you're just starting out.

The path is a loop around the outside of Mountfort Park, so start anywhere you like. There is plenty of car parking located around the park. Or you can leave the car at home and cycle to Mountfort Park along the shared cycle lanes on Weymouth Road.

Bring along your bike, scooter or pram - just keep an eye out as there are a few busy driveways along the route.

There's lots to do along the way to keep the family entertained. Pack a picnic and find a spot for lunch among the large shady trees. Kick a ball around in the sports fields, or shoot some hoops at the basketball half courts.

Pop in for a swim or splash around with the kids at the Manurewa Pool and Leisure Centre (swimming is free for kids under 16).

In the centre of the park you'll find a fun playground with a challenging climbing web - kids will have a blast. The playground offers good shade on sunny days.

On Saturday mornings, the park is often busy with regular sports competitions.
