Eligibility for regional arts and culture funding

To be eligible for funding, your group or organisation must meet the criteria for regional funding.

They must also do one or more of the following:

represent specific art forms at the regional level
play a role in the arts and culture sector in Auckland, like through strategic advocacy, capacity and capability building
be an iwi or other Māori organisation involved in arts and culture activity
deliver arts and cultural experiences to under-served populations
deliver arts and cultural experiences in non-traditional settings.

We assess funding applications against three categories:

Grants awarded through this programme will include a mix of:

Read about our:

Debt servicing or repayment.
Legal or medical expenses.
Activities that promote religious ministry or political purposes.
Public services that are the responsibility of central government such as core education and health.
Physical works such as improvements to community buildings before the appropriate consents are obtained.
Retrospective costs (already incurred and cannot be recovered).
Travel and accommodation outside Auckland.
Purchase of alcohol.
